Altus Collective: Pro Athlete Travel Program
This weekend, professional triathlete Simon Davis lines up at Köln Tri 70.3. It's his latest step in a career that's moved fast since he picked up his pro card in 2025 — a run of European middle distance podiums, and a top 10 at Ironman Swansea in a stacked field.
Simon has, like many professional triathletes, track cyclists, gravel privateers (the list goes on), been arranging his own race travel. Hours spent on booking.com, price checking flights, car hires and facing the dreaded live chat battle if things don’t go smoothly.
Until now…
Simon is the first athlete on our new Pro Athlete Travel Program.
Introducing the Pro Athlete Travel Program
Most professional athletes outside the very top tier don't have a logistics manager telling them where they need to be and booking everything on their behalf.
A lot of endurance athletes have to manage their travel admin alongside training, racing, staying on top of recovery and at some point find time to have a social/family life. Not an easy task.
We wanted to help, and in speaking to Simon whilst we were out on a training ride with him, we got a sense that this wasn’t just him facing a mounting amount of admin tasks he was trying to fit in.
So the Pro Athlete Travel Program was born.
It’s designed in the same way all our travel is, with the person at the heart of it. After sitting down with him over a coffee we had a playbook of all the details that make up a successful trip, like arranging airport parking no more than a 5 minute walk to the terminal instead of a 20 minute walk with a case and a bike box.
We research each race, quoting different options to suit the budget for each trip and building it around the travel preferences of the athlete. Booking is done through our state of the art travel app, and our athletes get full 24/7 support while they travel.
Who it's for
We built this around a specific gap: athletes and small teams competing at a serious level without the support structure that comes with it.
Triathletes racing a European calendar of middle and long distance events
Track cyclists, BMX racers and other individuals travelling for UCI events
Gravel privateers building their own race schedule
Smaller UCI cycling teams without a dedicated logistics employee
If travel planning is falling on the athlete, or on one person doing it alongside their actual job, that's exactly who this is for.
How it works
The process is simple by design:
You give us your travel preferences. We build a playbook for each trip, not set in stone but one we can use as a starting point for each proposal.
Share you race calendar. We can help map out the season by quoting each race at the start of the year to give you an idea of what the road ahead looks like.
We build the options. Flights, car hire, accommodation, airport parking, extra legroom. The whole lot is included and sent over for approval — no logging into five different sites to compare.
We book it. Securely, through our state of the art app where all your travel documents sit in one place.
We're on call while they travel. Delays, changes, or anything unexpected gets handled by us.
Built for the long term
This isn't a one-off booking service. It's designed as an ongoing relationship — race to race, season to season — with an athlete or team we get to know well enough to make good calls on their behalf without needing everything spelled out each time.
Simon races Köln Tri 70.3 this weekend. We'll be watching the results like everyone else — with a little more riding on how smoothly he got there.
